Corporate Work Study Program
Position Overview:
As a Cristo Rey Network School, Verbum Dei operates a unique Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) where students work in professional settings four days per month. This program provides critical tuition assistance and hands-on workplace experience, reinforcing the school’s academic mission.Verbum Dei’s CWSP is a pioneer of this model, which now spans over 40 Cristo Rey schools. Students complete a college preparatory curriculum while simultaneously gaining work experience at corporate job partner sites. Typically, four students share one full-time position throughout the academic year, with earnings directed toward their education.
We seek a dynamic individual dedicated to urban education to join our committed CWSP team, support student professional growth, and oversee key operational and relationship management functions
Position Summary:
As a key member of the CWSP team, the Operations and Relationship Manager will work closely with students, school personnel, and business partners to ensure the success of the Cristo Rey Work Study model. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing corporate partner relationships and supporting student professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Supervise drivers and oversee transportation logistics (scheduling, fueling, and driving).
- Assist in recruiting and hiring drivers.
- Review, approve and report payroll for drivers and students.
- Manage and maintain corporate partner documentation and compliance files.
- Utilize Work StudyForce 2.0 to organize and analyze partner-related data.
- Track student attendance and make-up days to ensure full participation.
Corporate Partner Relations
- Serve as the primary liaison for an assigned portfolio of corporate job partners.
- Coach supervisors on effectively managing student workers (via calls, emails, site visits and database updates).
- Provide timely updates to the VP of Corporate Work Study regarding job partner relationships.
- Assist with corporate events, including orientations, luncheons, and appreciation events.
- Coordinate student make-up workdays, holiday schedules, and timecard management.
Student Development & Professional Growth
- Support year-round professional development workshops and student training.
- Analyze student performance data to identify skill gaps and create targeted training plans.
- Assist in matching students with job assignments based on skills, performance, and partner requests.
- Meet with students to discuss workplace experiences, provide coaching, and monitor progress.
General Administrative & Program Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for guests visiting the CWSP office.
- Assist with management on-campus student interns and remote workers.
- Support the spiritual and co-circular life of Verbum Dei.
- Assist with additional CWSP tasks as assigned by the VP of Corporate Work Study.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher required.
- Proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and data reporting (or willingness to learn).
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability as CWSP operations evolve.
- Willingness to drive a 9-passenger van when needed.
- A team player who values humility, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Salary Range: $55K-$62K
Salary : $55,000 - $62,000
