Microtrac Inc., located in York, PA, is a reputed world leader in providing analytical instrumentation focusing on engineering, production and technical support for all Microtrac products in the market.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Finance & Controlling to operationally and strategically strengthen our company. This role requires close collaboration with our headquarters in Germany while providing hands-on leadership and support for the finance and controlling functions in the United States. Your comprehensive expertise will enable you to optimize our processes and strengthen our market position. The position will be based in York, PA at our Microtrac Inc. location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Together with your team, you oversee and participate in all financial operations, including preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and sales controlling automation
- Serve as a key advisor for management on financial aspects, including financial analysis, reporting, and control, in line with international GAAP
- Develop and implement an integrated strategy for finance, including sales controlling and taxes, aligned with corporate objectives, harmonizing tools, and processes for all Verder Scientific U.S. companies
- Lead cash flow analysis and implement improvements, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations and serving as the primary point of contact for audits and financial authorities
- Additionally, you'll help align IT & HR tools, processes, and standards, enhancing coordination across our American locations. This role allows you to significantly improve our efficiency and coherence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field. Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including International, multicultural setting (handling US vs Corporate GAAP)
- Hands-on mentality as well as continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Expertise in Microsoft Office (expert in Excel) tools as well as MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus)
- Proven record in leading and developing staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel to our other location (two-hour drive) as needed
