Essential Responsibilities:
People – scope is ~50 people.

EHS
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
- Promote environmental responsibility and support the company's ESG goals.
- Accountable for the EHS Management System.
Quality/FDA
- Produce first-quality products for commercial sales. Expand process control, quality, and process improvement.
- Manage the customer complaint process for timely and effective resolution.
- Collaborate with R&D and their QC support function.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, cGMP, and other quality/FDA regulatory requirements.
Service & Delivery
- Ensure high on-time service levels within competitive lead times.
- Optimize capacity through scheduling and OEE improvements (uptime, rates, and first-quality yields)
- Implement lean and six sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure training and compliance with SOPs for production processes.
Facilities and Infrastructure
- Ensure plant facilities are well-maintained for uptime and reliability.
- Ensure judicious CapEx spend to maintain and upgrade the facility for safety, compliance, quality, efficiency, and capacity.
Cost & Cash Management
- Operate within approved budget spending and optimize costs.
- Reduce costs of poor quality and manage inventories.
- Manage inventories in partnership with Supply Chain and Planning.
- Manage within the approved CapEx budget.
Systems & Reporting & External Stakeholders
- Interface as needed with the local and state community and agencies.
- Connect effectively with key stakeholders of Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and external customers as required by standard business processes and / or sales visits.
- Ability to report effectively to the company’s executive leadership.
- Utilize Oracle ERP systems and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Weekly, monthly, and quarterly tracking, analysis, and reporting of plant KPIs
- Establish departmentalized key performance indicators and metrics to monitor and report overall plant performance to senior management.
Criteria:
· Minimum B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
· Minimum 15 years of experience in Chemical, Fertilizer, or Industrial manufacturing.
· Proven leadership in Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.
· Experience in quality management systems, cGMP/ISO preferred.
· Strong leadership skills with experience in change management.
· Ability to analyze and deploy resources effectively.
· Proven success in achieving productive, cost-effective, and compliant results.
· Superior communication skills and experience in Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
· Ability to undergo fit testing and wear a mask as needed.
