Verdesian Life Sciences is seeking an individual for the role of VP, Commercial Partnerships & Business Development . This position will be remote and within the United States. This position reports to the Senior VP of Sales, North America.

This position will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our partnership strategy to drive growth, innovation, and customer value. This key commercial leadership position will be responsible for developing and nurturing strategic relationships with key customers in the North American market. The successful candidate will leverage their deep industry connections, understanding of the agricultural market dynamics and emerging trends to identify new partnership opportunities, negotiate agreements, and drive mutually beneficial agreements that enhance our competitive position.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic customer roadmap aligned with Verdesian's business objectives and growth initiatives.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential new customers based on strategic fit, market opportunity, and potential for value creation.
- Lead initial contact, relationship development, negotiations and contract discussions with new and existing customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships that drive revenue for both parties.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including sales, R&D, product management, marketing, finance, and legal to ensure alignment and successful execution of initiatives.
- Manage and cultivate relationships with existing partners to deepen engagement, drive innovation, and maximize value both for and from the partners.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market developments to identify emerging opportunities and threats, and adjust partnership strategy accordingly.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and ROI of partnership initiatives and use insights to optimize partnership strategy and execution.
- Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to the executive leadership team on partnership opportunities and implications for the business.
- Other duties not listed above as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field.
Bachelors or better in Finance or related field.
Bachelors or better in Marketing or related field.
Masters or better in Business Administration.
Experience Required
10 years minimum experience in strategic commercial partnerships, business development, or related leadership roles within agriculture crop protection, seed or crop nutrient sectors. Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of contributing to high-performing teams. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
