What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Packaging Specialist position at Verescence?
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, Covington facility, your mission consists of the supply of packaging in a timely manner for the Cold End area while maintaining flow/organization within the Warehouse. In addition, keeping SAP updated with all packaging movement while ensuring no discrepancies between physical stock and SAP.
To accomplish your role and as a VERESCENCE ambassador, you will:
- Identify and understand packaging, product codes, batch numbers and the FIFO system
- Perform cycle counts of Products/Packaging to maintain inventory accuracy
- Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
- Register all packaging movement in SAP (consumption, return, cycle counts, etc.)
- Identify and confirm that all pallets are wrapped/banded to company standards and are correctly counted and not damaged
- Maintain a manual record of all skids in the loading/unloading process
- Ensure that proper packaging materials are labelled and available at the Job On area for the upcoming run
- Identify and segregate the packaging according packing specification and production plan
