Job Description :
- The Manager of Software Engineering leads scrum teams in the successful creation and delivery of software products to the marketplace.
- As a leader, you will mentor your team members, helping them advance skills in their specific roles and lead by example on all aspects of work.
- You will work closely with Engineering Leadership and key partners across the company to execute the strategic priorities of the company, and augment tactical planning by championing agility and collaboration.

Your Role:
- Drive stability and quality throughout the organization.
- Establish productive relationships with leadership in Engineering, Product, and Operations departments.
- Develop resource strategies, allocating staff, development tools and specialized support as necessary to ensure our development and delivery commitments are met.
- Mentor, guide, and coach development team members (offshore and onshore) to ensure they succeed individually and as a team in an Agile environment.
- Review, evaluate, plan and improve existing and future development tools, processes, methodologies, and resources.
- Develop and improve development best practices.
- Ensure delivery of the best quality products.
- Desire and ability to learn new skills and improve upon current skills.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering and 7 years of experience with at least 1 year experience in management or technical lead role; or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- 7 years of experience working in software development with minimum 1 year of experience managing in an Agile environment
- Minimum 1 year experience leading offshore teams
- Prior experience programming with .Net or Python languages and libraries
- Experience with API services, including RESTful services
- Experience with Microservices or Service Oriented Architecture
- Ability to comprehend complexity, to fully understand a product with all its business and technological implications, and to approach technological solutions from that perspective
- High degree of efficiency and motivation in work habits in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to meeting deadlines
Preferred Experience:
- Experience supporting, auditing and troubleshooting solutions with heavy API use.
- Experience with common troubleshooting metrics and logging solutions like Splunk and New Relic
- Experience in delivering AWS solutions
