POSITION SUMMARY
The Client Relationship Manager is responsible for generating new business and expanding market presence. This forward-facing role requires strong industry relationships, market knowledge, and a proactive approach to identifying and securing new opportunities. Candidates must have experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities aligned with company goals.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers and industry influencers.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and untapped markets.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, RFPs, and sales presentations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align business development efforts with company strategy.
- Maintain accurate tracking of prospects, opportunities, and pipeline activity in CRM systems.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing teams to enhance outreach and lead generation efforts.
- Provide regular updates on KPIs and business development performance.
Education
Bachelors and Advanced degrees are preferred and/or encouraged but not required.
Qualifications
- 5 years in business development, sales, or related field.
- Proven track record of winning new business and achieving revenue targets.
- Experience with proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing deals.
Salary
$115,700 on target earnings ($70,000 salary $45,700 projected bonuses)
Expected Hours
Standard hours are 8am to 5pm, but 50 hours/week expected.
Travel Required
Moderate, mostly in-state travel is expected.
