As the leader over Finance, you will play a critical role in overseeing the company’s financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, compliance, and risk management. You will lead the finance and accounting teams, driving strategic initiatives to ensure the organization’s financial health and scalability. This position requires a strong leader with the ability to balance day-to-day operations with long-term strategic planning. Experience in the mortgage or real estate industry is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the executive team.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations, including GAAP.
- Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage operational expenses, including Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC).
- Support capital-raising efforts through financial modeling and insights.
- Lead the adoption of new technologies and best practices to improve financial processes.
- Manage relationships with external partners, including auditors, vendors, and financial institutions.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Direct oversight of the finance team, with responsibility for building and scaling the department.
Work Environment
- Hybrid role requiring three days per week in the Omaha, NE office.
Qualifications
- 10 years of senior finance experience with demonstrated leadership in high-growth organizations.
- Expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, compliance, and process optimization.
- Experience with venture capital fundraising or similar corporate finance activities is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data for decision-making.
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with the mortgage or real estate industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with a focus on scalability and automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
