- Oversee both Tableau Server and Tableau Online, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Monitor Tableau instances, fix issues, and improve server performance to minimize downtime.
- Help create and optimize Tableau dashboards from simple reports to complex visualizations, ensuring they follow design best practices.
- Integrate Tableau with data sources like Snowflake, DB2, and other relational databases. Optimize data connections and improve query performance.
- Use SQL to write and troubleshoot queries, ensuring data accuracy and performance across Tableau reports.
- Set up user permissions and manage access to Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Automate server maintenance tasks, improve data refresh schedules, and keep Tableau running smoothly.
- Create and maintain documentation for Tableau configurations, workflows, and best practices.
- 7 years of experience with Tableau Server (on-premise and cloud).
- Strong experience in creating dashboards, troubleshooting Tableau instances, and optimizing performance.
- Experience integrating Tableau with Snowflake, DB2, or other databases, and optimizing data connections.
- Solid SQL skills to work with data and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to keep Tableau running smoothly.
- Experience in managing user roles and permissions within Tableau.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
