The Grant Manager will be the trusted point person for Verily’s NIH, ARPA-H, CDC and other government grants and agreements. In this role, you will collaborate closely with investigators, program leads and cross-functional contacts to identify, execute and submit all necessary forms, applications, reports and other documents. You will be part of Verily’s Medical and Science organization, working across the company to support government proposals of all types.

Description
The Grant Manager will be the trusted point person for Verily’s NIH, ARPA-H, CDC and other government grants and agreements. In this role, you will collaborate closely with investigators, program leads and cross-functional contacts to identify, execute and submit all necessary forms, applications, reports and other documents. You will be part of Verily’s Medical and Science organization, working across the company to support government proposals of all types.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal program leads and investigators to develop and submit material for applications, proposals, and reporting including tracking the pipeline of awarded and in-progress grant submissions across Verily.
- Identify the administrative steps needed for each grant and navigate the internal and external stakeholders and processes needed to execute on those steps.
- Maintain Verily account access to appropriate government funding agency websites and become Verily’s go-to expert at navigating those portals.
- Partner with the Finance team to develop grant budgets, track finances and ensure that funds are managed appropriately.
- Manage communications and grant planning with key stakeholders, including grant making agencies, external partners, and internal product teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of grant administration or similar experience
- Ability to collaborate with and communicate information clearly to a diverse audience including executive stakeholders. Strong document management skills using Google Docs, Word, and Adobe PDF.
- Strong organizational skills and stellar attention to detail, including when working under tight deadlines.
- Experience working specifically with government grants is a plus.
- Technical writing skills and experience are a plus.
- Program management experience is a plus.
