Position Overview:
The individual fulfilling this performs daily activities within the operations department and at times works with other departments to resolve operational issues. Performs various quality control reviews and monitoring in the areas of Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC and Customer Identification Program compliance using industry standard and regulatory guidance sampling methods to ensure the Bank's compliance efforts are maintained on a daily basis. Assist with setting up Business Online Banking accounts and services which may include ACH Services, Wires, Positive Pay, Bill Payment and Mobile banking as well as consumer products.
ROLE & RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Assists with the development, implementation, and monitoring of management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security and legal and regulatory compliance.
- Process check exceptions and checks for prenotes daily.
- Completes OFAC checks on IAT transactions
- Follows FINCEN requirements for review of reports
- Balance NSF and non-posted transactions
- Review stop payment suspect reports
- Processes and monitor ACH files
- Process and handle ACH disputes and returns
- Completes and files CTR’s as required by regulation
- Handle Fed Return Items - chargebacks
- Research subpoenas
- Processes Levies and Garnishments
- Process Wire Transfers-Incoming & Outgoing and maintain Wire Log
- Order foreign currency
- Send Foreign Checks for Processing
- Assist with sending letters and posting entries for Debit Card disputes.
- Maintain records and correspondence associated with dormant accounts
- Assist with setup of cash management services for customers
- Review of mobile deposits
- Review of large dollar reports
- Other responsibilities at the discretion of management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS:
- 3 years banking related experience preferred
- High School Graduate/GED
- Excel/Word Processing
- Perform quality work within deadlines without direct supervision.
- Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.
- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-task, fast paced environment
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees, departments, and organizations.
- Aptitude for attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors
- Willing to attend continuing education related courses pertaining to job
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
