Job Title: Loan Operations Specialist
Reports to: Loan Operations Team Lead

Position Overview:
The individual fulfilling this position handles all phases of the loan documentation of all loans originated. This individual will be required to have knowledge of bank products and operations and willingness to be cross trained in various areas of branch operations. This individual shall exercise independent judgment in most instances and require minimal supervision.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Works closely with loan administration staff to assist them in meeting their customers’ needs.
- Prepares loan documents for new and renewed loans for both commercial and consumer applicants in accordance with approved loan terms, conditions, requirements and Verimore Bank loan policy.
- Book new and renewed loans to the Bank’s core system, coordinate loan fundings, perform post-closing audits, and document follow up.
- Process and maintain files for adverse actions.
- Ensure proper collateral perfect and documentation with various county and state departments.
- Various administrative functions such as: Paid loan processing, escrow processing, file creation and scanning, and UCC maintenance.
- Prepares and tracks various reporting requirements for internal and regulatory purposes.
- Crosstrain in other bank functions and provide back-up support as needed for all branch operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior banking and/or lending experience preferred.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and attention to detail.
- Capable of dependable and reliable attendance
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a multi-task environment
- Willing to attend continuing education related courses pertaining to job
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
