Assistant Maintenance Manager

We have an immediate need for a well-organized, enthusiastic individual to join our prestigious, award winning property management team as an Assistant Maintenance Manager at our luxury apartment community in Liberty Towers, Jersey City, NJ.

Perform daily building maintenance/operations and filling of resident work requests, including HVAC, plumbing and electrical repairs and other duties that require physical effort. Position reports to on-site (Sr.) Maintenance Manager. 

Requirements include, but are not limited to: 

• HS diploma or equivalent 
• Current, valid driver's license 
• Minimum 3-5 years hands-on experience in HVAC and/or electric maintenance 
• EPA & CPO certification 
• Black Seal License 
• Basic knowledge and experience in repair and troubleshooting of 220 & 120 volts, as well as some low voltage 
• Ability to successfully multi-task and meet deadlines 
• Be able to obtain Fire Safety Manager Certificate 
• Complete move in/move out inspections and property inspections 
• Knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs 
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel 
• Professional appearance and excellent verbal and written communication skills as position interacts with residents and vendors 
• Previous maintenance experience in residential real estate &/or hospitality industries required 
• Must be available for emergency/on call situations; some weekends required 
• Valid driver’s license and insurance required

Compensation: $65,000
