Accounting Manager (NGO/Non Profit) - DC

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team in DC. Ideally seeking candidates with 7 years of experience. This is a position with hybrid office days (3 days in)

Qualifications:

• CPA is required.
• Extensive experience working for a non profit/NGO in an accounting capacity is required
• Previous management/supervisory experience is also required
• Strong GAAP knowledge is key.
• IFRS experience is a plus
• Experience with Workday, NetSuite or ADP are a plus

Responsibilities:

• The position is responsible for the effective performance of US accounting functions, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, analysis of general ledger accounts, enforcement of internal policies and conducting organizational staff training.
• Will oversee payroll operations and will support the completion of statutory audit.
• The Accounting Manager is responsible for reliable and timely preparation of internal and external reports related to all accounting responsibilities.
