What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Coordinator & Pharmacy Technician position at Veritas Veterinary Partners?
Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital is excited to announce we are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator/Pharmacy Technician to join our team! Experience in a veterinary setting is required!
This is a joint role in both purchasing and pharmacy. Responsibilities will include:
Purchasing details:
- Purchase and maintain all inventory and medical supplies
- Actively follow-up with all deliveries and ensure timely delivery of material.
- Receive and unpack deliveries.
- Maintain a record of all invoices and purchase orders.
- Organize, stock and maintain supply rooms
- Inventory counts and audits for all hospital product and supplies.
- Check regularly for expired stock, monitor product recalls.
- Monitor and clearly communicate backordered items
- Monitor and audit product turnover, rotation, and expiration date.
- Develop and maintain contacts with suppliers and sales/service representatives
- Resourcefully evaluate, compare costs and identify savings to get the best price while maintaining the highest quality of patient care.
- Understands medical terminology, abbreviations, and key medical terms.
About you:
- CVT/LVT/RVT or Veterinary Technician is a plus!
- Experience working in a veterinary setting is required
- Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment
- Commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community
- Positive outlook and friendly, team-orientated attitude
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- The ability to deliver exceptional client service
- Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun!
Salary: Up to $31/hr, commensurate with relevant experience.
