About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Veterinary CT Technician to join our specialized team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering advanced diagnostic imaging services that support our surgical and medical teams. You will ensure high-quality imaging, prioritize patient safety and comfort, and uphold the highest standards of care for our patients and their families.
CT Imaging Procedures
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts. Must be able to work some weekends and holidays

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Veterinary CT Technician to join our specialized team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering advanced diagnostic imaging services that support our surgical and medical teams. You will ensure high-quality imaging, prioritize patient safety and comfort, and uphold the highest standards of care for our patients and their families.
CT Imaging Procedures
- Perform high-quality CT scans as requested by veterinarians and specialists.
- Accurately position animals to achieve optimal imaging results while ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with the surgical and diagnostic teams to plan imaging needs for pre- and post-surgical evaluations.
- Provide compassionate care and handling of patients during imaging procedures.
- Assist in administering sedation or anesthesia under the supervision of a veterinarian.
- Monitor patients throughout imaging and recovery to ensure their well-being.
- Operate and maintain CT equipment, ensuring it remains in excellent working condition.
- Conduct routine cleaning, calibration, and quality assurance checks on imaging equipment.
- Report technical issues promptly to maintain seamless operations.
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and client care teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide detailed reports and observations to the medical and surgical teams.
- Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures, including patient data and scan results.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including radiation safety standards.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology, Radiology, or a related field or 3-year experience running a CT equipment
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT, or LVT) is preferred.
- Crossover from the human field would be strongly considered.
- Prior experience in veterinary/human diagnostic imaging or radiology is required.
- Familiarity with CT equipment and procedures in a veterinary or human healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in CT imaging techniques and operation of advanced equipment.
- Strong animal handling skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- Ability to lift and move animals of varying sizes with appropriate assistance.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and moving during imaging procedures.
