What You’ll Be Doing...
Design and build data warehouses on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and on-prem, by developing and implementing scalable and reliable solutions. Collaborate closely with the AI&D Data engineering teams to design and implement efficient data pipelines (ETLs) in order to integrate data from diverse sources into Big Query, and make data available for AI/ML model development and data productization. Design and build pipelines capable of handling billions of records per day in real-time streaming systems using Kafka, Spark and GCP Services (DataProc, Pub/Sub, Composer). Collaborate with analytics and business product owners to comprehend their business requirements and design architecture to fulfill their needs, thereby enhancing data accessibility and promoting data-driven decision making across the organization. Develop and implement cloud strategies, best practices, and standards to ensure efficient and effective cloud utilization. Wrangle with raw data from a wide range of data formats such as structured data (csv, xml, json etc.), unstructured data (images, video files etc.), binary data (Avro, Parquet etc.) from our distribution partners. Design data integrations and data quality framework to ensure data quality and integrity. Design and evaluate open source and vendor tools for use case fit and present recommendations.
What We’re Looking For...
Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, and 4 years of experience in the job offered or as an ETL Developer, Big Data Developer, Analytics Developer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 4 years performing Python, Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala) and Apache Nifi; and 3 years with GCP. Also requires completion of university-level course, internship, research project, thesis, or experience involving Statistical Data Analysis or a similar field. Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
