We are seeking a skilled Building Systems Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Verizon. This role requires expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building mechanicals, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of heating and air conditioning plants, motor controller and electrical equipment, pneumatic and electric controls, and temperature and humidity control systems. They will also be proficient in climbing ladders, working aloft, and moving heavy items safely.
In this worksite-based role, you will work onsite at a defined location(s) and be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on our building systems. You will also need to review and interpret word orders, operating instructions, diagrams, and mechanical equipment drawings.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building mechanical systems
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections on equipment and systems

- Working safely at heights and lifting heavy items
Requirements
- Valid refrigeration license (Q-01) and certificate of fitness for relevant operations
- Universal Technician Certification as designated by EPA regulations-40 CFR Part 82 Subpart H
- Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant vocational or technical training or 3 or more years of relevant work experience
