Verland is hiring Exceptional People to provide Compassionate Care as a ATF Program Aide in Mercer County.
The Mercer Adult Training Facility (ATF) Program Aide assists the Mercer ATF supervisor in coordinating and supervising the programming, which is carried out by the Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at the Mercer ATF. This is an hourly, non-exempt position. The following is a list, not an all-inclusive list, of duties for which the Mercer ATF Program Aide is responsible.
Contributions:
- Must be fluent in all assigned individuals’ ISPs and monitor progress.
- Assist in training staff in necessary procedures and techniques, and the individuals’ ISP.
- Participate in 24 hours of annual in-servicing as required by governing regulations and attend meetings as required.
- Pass medication and complete documentation
- Ensure implementation of goal objectives, plans, and procedures.
- Implement daily schedules; clear any changes through the Program Specialist
- Report policy infractions to Program Specialist.
- Set up the day program daily.
- Work in the capacity of a DSP, assist with community outing (planning,participate, and transportation)
- Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements
- Must possess working knowledge of current practices in the IDD field.
- Must have excellent verbal and written skills necessary to communicate with individuals and staff and to prepare necessary written documentation.
- Must possess the ability and the empathy needed to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with DSPs and other supervisory staff.
- Must also demonstrate superior leadership and organizational skills.
Minimum Training and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be proficient in utilizing a computer.
- Must also have all required clearances and maintain a valid driver’s license.
