Job Summary
We are seeking a seasonal (summer) IT Support Representative to provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responds to employees requests, isolates problem, and determines / implements solution. This position requires the ability to work well independently, sometimes with minimal guidance.
Pay: $20 hourly
Essential Functions
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming employee requests and issues related to computer systems (i.e, CDK, Salesforce), software and hardware
- Train computer users.
- Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
- Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
Non-Essential Functions
- Respond to email messages for customers seeking help.
- Ask questions to determine nature of problem.
- Walk customer through problem-solving process.
- Clean up computers.
- Write training manuals.
- Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
- Gain feedback from customers about computer usage.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or attainment of an IT degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High degree of attention to detail and deadline driven.
- Oral, written, and interactive communication skills.
- Skilled in effective research tactics and good organization.
- Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
- Ability to convey a positive and professional image to internal and external customers.
