Job Summary
The Yard and Shop Attendant is responsible for performing duties that support the flow of operations in the service department, ultimately leading to an exceptional customer service experience.
Essential Functions
- Load and unload equipment and trucks for internal and external customers.
- Wash and detail Vermeer fleet vehicles.
- Wash and de-grease equipment.
- Keep the parking lot cleaned of debris and trash.
- Keep rock in the yard graded and level.
- Perform snow removal and spread salt.
- Take inventory of all equipment in the yard. Ensure equipment is organized on the lot and its proper location.
- Check the level of fluids barrels and fill when necessary.
- Perform monthly building and fork lift inspections.
- Empty all garbage containers.
- Perform floor sweeper maintenance.
- Corrective Action List (CAL) projects.
- Make short runs for parts delivery/pick up.
- Ensure kitchen and restroom supplies are stocked.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- At least six (6) months experience around equipment preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
