Overview:
The Borestore Sales Representative will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing part orders, and overseeing parts sales and inventory systems. This individual will thrive in a team environment and must possess strong communication skills to effectively engage with customers, vendors, technicians, and managers. The ideal candidate will have a customer-focused mindset and be committed to providing exceptional service while developing and maintaining long-term client relationships.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers in an assigned territory, selling parts and service solutions.
- Identify and cultivate new sales opportunities within the market.
- Conduct customer visits to assess their needs, provide solutions, and ensure satisfaction.
- Process quotes, sales orders, and customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work closely with technicians and vendors to ensure accuracy and efficiency in part orders.
- Maintain communication with customers via phone, email, and in-person visits to ensure order accuracy and fulfillment.
- Assist customers with research, part identification, and resolving any concerns or issues.
- Manage parts inventory, verifying stock levels to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Load and deliver parts to customers as needed, ensuring timely service.
- Support the accounts receivable department in collections and payment processing.
- Represent Vermeer Mountain West at industry events, training sessions, and company meetings.
- Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in parts sales, customer service, or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Proficiency in inventory management and order processing systems.
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of equipment and parts is a plus.
