About the role
Vermeer Southeast is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist II to be responsible for reviewing invoices, check requests and other related documentation for accuracy and compliance with financial policies, procedures and contractual requirements.
What you"ll do
- Review and process invoices, credits, and check requests, ensuring high accuracy and strict adherence to policy.
- Review purchase orders, packing slips and receiving reports thoroughly to verify amounts owed.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors, respond to inquiries, and resolve any discrepancies with invoices and payments promptly.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files and records.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Provide direct support to the accounting personnel for day-to-day operations.
