About The Role
We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to play a key role in our growing finance team. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving process improvements. If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for accounting, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process, including prepaid expenses and accruals
- Conduct monthly expense variance analysis and review findings with accounting leadership
- Complete monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements for review with accounting leadership before executive presentation
- Manage fixed and intangible asset schedules, including depreciation and amortization, and record related journal entries
- Support accounting projects, process documentation, and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency
- Collaborate with finance and HR teams to execute cross-departmental policies, including corporate credit card management, expense reporting, capital project oversight, and fleet management
- Assist in forecasting cash flow, expenses, and capital expenditures
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure smooth financial operations
- Develop and maintain accounting policies that align with industry best practices
- Identify and implement efficiencies within accounting and finance to support business growth
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4 years of experience in accounting/finance or related discipline preferred
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus
- Proficiency with financial systems and tools, such as ERP systems, accounting software, and financial reporting tools
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
- Detail-oriented, execution-focused, and deadline-driven with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
