We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director, Business Development to lead our partnering and licensing efforts. A deep understanding and experience in European collaborations is preferred. This role will be instrumental in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic transactions to support Verona Pharma's growth. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Director will work cross-functionally to drive deal-making initiatives, establish and strengthen relationships with pharmaceutical companies globally as we seek to in-license and out-license assets, and will provide key strategic insights to the executive team and Board of Directors.
What You'll Do :
- Develop and execute Verona Pharma's business development strategy related to Ohtuvayre and future products containing ensifentrine as well as potential portfolio expansion opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate in-licensing and out-licensing opportunities that align with the company's strategic objectives.
- Lead negotiations and due diligence processes for business development transactions, ensuring alignment with financial and operational goals.
- Establish and cultivate strong relationships with key pharmaceutical partners, and other stakeholders.
- Present business development opportunities, transaction strategies, and key updates to the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, R&D, and commercial functions, to identify and evaluate opportunities and to structure and execute deals effectively.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory developments that impact business development opportunities globally.
