Job Title: Sales Supervisor
The Sales Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Store Management staff in maximizing sales and providing an exceptional shopping experience for customers. They are responsible for managing the store in accordance with the company's visual and operational standards.
In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, the Sales Supervisor assumes the responsibility of managing the store as 'Manager-on-Duty.'
Responsibilities:
- SALES LEADERSHIP:
- Supervises staff in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager
- Strives for sales excellence and results
- Ensures selling standards are met
- Provides excellent customer service and clienteling skills
- Maximizes sales through strong floor supervision
- ASSOCIATE DEVELOPMENT:
- Trains associates on product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service operations
- Provides feedback to Sales Associates
- Team sells with Sales Associates to contribute to the development of the selling team
- OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE:
- Manages company assets, including key control, loss prevention measures, inventory paperwork, and company standards of conduct per the employee handbook
- Achieves 100% accuracy and compliance in cash, inventory, fixtures, and property
- STORE STANDARDS:
- Executes floor-set and promotional directives
- Contributes to maintaining all store standards
- Understands, supports, and complies with all company policies and procedures
- MERCHANDISING/VISUAL:
- Maintains a neat, clean, organized, and visually appealing selling floor at all times
- Presents displays, fixtures, and visual areas according to current visual direction
- FASHION/STYLING:
- Represents Veronica Beard's fashion style
- Knowledge of current fashion trends and styles
- Demonstrates an overall finished fashion look
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to operate computer/cash register
- Standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, and climbing ladders up to 12 feet
- Simple grasping, pushing, lifting, and/or carrying items weighing 3-15 pounds
- WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Creats a quality working environment that encourages growth and excellence
- Fosters a work climate that inspires mutual trust, respect, professionalism, and teamwork
Requirements:
- 1-2 years retail Store Management experience in women's apparel or related field
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
- Strong verbal and communication skills (Spanish speaking is a plus)
- Strong observation skills - identifying and assessing customer and employee behavior, reactions, and floor awareness
- Ability to retain and utilize data, such as names, merchandise, information, policies, and procedures
