Versa Real Estate is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our team in the Southfield office. The ideal candidate will bring experience in real estate accounting, along with a strong understanding of the complexities associated with managing diverse property types and development projects. This role will be responsible for financial reporting, property accounting, lease accounting, and supporting budgeting processes across multiple properties. This position is ideally suited for a well-organized individual who can work independently and has attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the commercial real estate industry / Property management
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar real estate platforms).
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and interpret complex financial models and reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
