The Senior Capital Project Engineer will be part of a team that develops the engineering plan, engineering design, and construction for up to a dozen pilot facilities to support the scale-up of products and processes in manufacturing. The Senior Capital Process Engineer will collaborate to identify needs and convert them into robust unit operations and facility designs that support domestic scale-up and innovation. This position may involve developing long-term capital investment strategies for the pilot plant network or projects seeking operational efficiencies, capacity expansion, and continuous improvement. The Senior Capital Process Engineer will contribute by bringing real-world experience to the design, construction, commissioning, and start-up of these piloting facilities over the next few years.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Define, design, and deliver pilot and intermediate-scale facilities as part of a national network.
- Partner with our clients / membership and consultants to identify needs and convert them into robust unit operations and facility designs supporting domestic scale-up to production-level facilities.
- Author or review front-end loading documents, engineering drawings, equipment datasheets, piping, and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and other technical documentation for utility systems and process equipment, including automation and control systems.
- Contribute to equipment specification and selection, bid packages, procurement, installation, and start-up.
- Work with vendors and manage engineering and project schedules and budgets.
- Author or review Standard Operating Procedures and Process Safety Reviews.
