How will you make an impact in this role?
In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing product strategies for payment systems and hardware solutions, aligning with the company’s overall business goals, resulting in a proven hardware suite and payment software options. This means you will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product development and launch. You will report to the Director of Product.
What will you be doing on a day-to-day basis?
- Assist with creating and maintaining the payments/hardware product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Engage with internal team, external partners and other key stakeholders to gather input and garner support for product vision, strategy, and roadmap to define payments/hardware solutions.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis around payments and hardware to identify customer needs and emerging trends in the POS space.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of hardware products from ideation to end-of-life, including product design, development, testing, and launch.
- Manage hardware vendor relationships to stay up to date on new and upgraded units.
- Track product performance metrics and analyze user data to identify areas for improvement within the payments/hardware space.
Top Candidates will demonstrate the following:
- 1-2 years of experience in product management or a related field (e.g., project management, business analysis).
- 1-2 years of experience in the POS and/or payments space
- Strong understanding of the POS software/hardware/payments landscape and restaurant industry trends.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with user research methodologies (e.g., interviews, surveys) is a plus.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality products.
- Working knowledge of JIRA
- Knowledge of Gherkin syntax (preferred)
- Experience with AHA! (preferred)
- Experience with Balsamiq, Axure, and/or other wire framing tools (preferred)
- Restaurant/Hospitality experience (preferred)
