Who We are Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional to grow with our team. We are looking for a bookkeeper/ data entry specialist to handle general accounting operations. Our environment is fast-paced and offers ample opportunity to grow and develop. This position requires an individual with a high level of attention to detail and a passion for data entry. We need a professional with proven skills in working in systems and managing A/R and A/P.
The person hired will report to our GM while also interacting with the Regional finance teams in meeting organization-wide objectives. You will enjoy a broad range of responsibilities and get to know the business and operations.
Structure of the Position:
This job is full-time Monday – Friday in person in our northern NJ office. This role will start at approximately 30 hours per week, with the expectation to increase to a full 40-hour workweek as the business grows.
Essential Responsibilities:
Maintaining records of financial transactions by posting and verifying.
- Reviewing customer invoices prior to issuance
- Processing AP invoices
- Reviewing and approving credit card transactions
- Assisting with A/R collection efforts
- Ensuring transactions are being processed within our CRM accurately and completely
- Preparing and filing sales tax returns
- Issuing 1099s to vendors
- Assisting with audit requests as needed
Education & Skills:
- AA or BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, or business (Preferred)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a business setting
- Knowledge of and proficiency in using Accounting and CRM Systems.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Experience in an industry that experiences seasonal demand and expense timing within a fiscal year is a plus.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and be a Team Player to meet deadlines in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

Compensation:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
