Vertical Roofing is expanding into the solar industry, and we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Solar Project Manager to lead the charge. This is a brand-new department, and we need someone with a strong background in solar sales, project management, and implementation to help develop and grow this division from the ground up.
Position Overview:
The Solar Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our solar projects, from initial customer acquisition and sales to project execution and completion. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in solar sales and implementation who can help structure this new division while ensuring high-quality installations and customer satisfaction. As a Solar PM, you work to educate clients on the benefits of solar energy, analyze their energy needs, and present customized solar solutions that align with those needs. The role often involves both inbound and outbound sales, where representatives engage potential clients through calls, meetings, and marketing events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential customers, generate leads through various channels, and develop relationships to turn prospects into clients.
- Meet with customers to assess their energy needs, design customized solar solutions, and create proposals.
- Present solar solutions, explain benefits, and demonstrate potential savings to clients in person or through virtual meetings.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial consultation and site assessment to permitting, installation, and final inspection.
- Work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for solar installations.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, incentives, and new technologies to keep Vertical Roofing competitive in the solar market.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in solar project management, sales, and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, design, and installation processes.
- Experience working with permitting agencies, utility companies, and rebate programs.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to collaborate with various teams and customers.
- Ability to create and execute strategic plans to build and grow a new department.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing industry trends.
