VertiSource HR provides Payroll and HR services to our clients as a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) or Administrative Services Organization (ASO). We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Administrative Assistant to support our HR and Benefits team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. As a self-starter, this role requires taking initiative and working independently to ensure that HR and Benefits operations run smoothly and effectively.

Duties Include
- Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence
- Dispatch employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions
- Verify employees work authorization status by completing Form I-9
- Assist with onboarding of new employees
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of HR documents and/or forms
- Process employee status changes and maintain records of completed transactions
- Review and respond to requests for information from various local, state, and federal agencies
- Assist with benefit enrollment and follow up timely with employees as needed
- Assist with data entry as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous demonstrated success in HR Administrative position (2 -3 years)
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
- Proven attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- A self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision

- Items to be lifted or carried might include, but are not limited to, boxes or files, copy paper, supplies, materials,etc. Most items will be carried by hand. Most items must be lifted to knee or waist level, some items lifted to chest level and only a few items overhead.
- Frequently push and pull objects in order to open and close file drawers, occasionally move items around the office such as a box of copy paper or computer paper, etc.
- Occasionally bend and kneel to file, retrieve items, etc.
