We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Warehouse Worker. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the warehouse environment, ensuring efficient, accurate, and safe movement of goods. This position requires physical labor, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Inspecting Shipments: Unload and check incoming shipments, ensuring items match purchase orders and are free of damage.
- Inventory Management: Assist in stock organization, inventory counts, and replenishing shelves as needed.
- Order Picking and Packing: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare items for shipment to customers, ensuring all orders are correct and properly documented.
- Loading and Unloading Trucks: Safely load and unload products from delivery trucks - manual labor as necessary.
- Maintaining Warehouse Cleanliness: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards. Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Basic Maintenance: Report any equipment malfunctions or safety issues to the supervisor.
- Shipping Preparation: Ensure all outbound orders are properly labeled and prepared for delivery according to schedule.
- Documentation and Recordkeeping: Accurately document inventory, shipments, and deliveries as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior warehouse or material handling experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50lbs with assistance when necessary).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts) is a plus.
- Basic computer skills to process orders and track inventory.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to safely lift and carry boxes and materials weighing up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment, including exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
