Architectural Designer
As an Architectural Designer at Vessel Technologies, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of housing by designing innovative, environmentally sustainable, and accessible housing solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and BIM management, to bring bold concepts to life. This position is ideal for creative thinkers who want to make a meaningful impact by contributing to groundbreaking solutions for the housing industry.
This position is located in-person at our NYC HQ office.
\n- Conceptualize innovative architectural designs that align with Vessel Technologies’ vision of reimagining housing as a consumer product.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to refine ideas and develop detailed plans that balance creativity with technical feasibility.
- Participate in all stages of the design process, from initial concept development to construction documentation.
- Research and integrate cutting-edge technology, sustainable practices, and design trends into your work.
- Address and resolve technical and design challenges with innovative solutions.
- Ensure designs comply with building codes across multiple jurisdictions.
- Lead efforts to integrate green building technologies and sustainability certifications into product designs.
- Streamline the transition from design to construction documentation with BIM management teams.
- Solicit user feedback to continually improve product designs
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
- 2-5 years of professional architectural design experience, with a focus on conceptual and innovative design.
- Exceptional creativity with the ability to translate bold concepts into practical solutions.
- Strong interest in sustainable design, universal design principles, and accessibility.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and BIM management.
- A blend of creativity and technical knowledge, with the ability to deliver practical, manufacturable solutions.
- Passion for improving housing accessibility and environmentally sustainable design.
- The base salary is around $125,000 annually, depending on experience and location. Additional forms of compensation, such as equity and bonuses, are included in the total package.
