SRT Team - Renovation Technician

This is not a remote position. This is an on site position.

JOB SUMMARY, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, JOB REQUIREMENTS

SUMMARY

Responsible for drywall repair, painting and completing apartment renovations. 

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Assists in trash pickup on the property.  

2. Assists in all types of maintenance, when necessary and as requested.  

3. Assists in completing the renovations of vacant units, as requested. 

4. Complete all duties regarding renovating vacant units 

5. Services general plumbing and basic electrical needs of the property include replacing/fixing toilets,    light switches, garbage disposals, ceiling fans, etc.  

6. Rekey locks, as requested.  

7. Assists in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment and supplies.  

8. Replace burned out light bulbs, broken globes, etc. in units and throughout the exterior of the property, as needed.    

9. Observes the condition of property in general and reports any unusual circumstances.  

10. Should be familiar with the location of power, water and gas turnoff valves, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers and fire hydrants on the property.  

11. Cleans up thoroughly after performing work.  

12. Notifies Renovations Lead, regarding any supplies necessary to complete renovations.

13. Performs pool and spa maintenance, as directed.  

14. Follows company procedures regarding safety and emergencies.  

15. Attends employee meetings and training seminars, as requested.  

16. Wears company uniform and badge during work hours. 

Reporting

1. Reports to the Renovations Lead and/or Maintenance Support Specialist on a regular basis, as directed.  

2. Maintains good relationships with other staff members, working with the Leasing Office and under the direction of the renovations Lead.  

3. Maintains good rapport with outside contract vendors working on the property.    

REQUIREMENTS 

1. High School diploma or equivalent.  

2. Above average written and oral communications skills.  

3. Ability to communicate effectively in the predominant business language, English.  

4. Reliable transportation.  

5. Valid Driver’s License.  

6. Provides/uses your own tools.  

7. Always uses good safety habits.  

8. Neat, clean appearance.  

9. Compatible with a wide range of people.  

10. Needs to be thorough, reliable, responsible, honest, organized, flexible and service-oriented.  

11. Possesses basic knowledge of the following: 

    1. Electrical systems  

    2. Plumbing systems  

    3. Painting procedures
