We are seeking a high quality, engaging Director of Rehabilitation for Vestal Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center , a Long and Short Term Care Facility located in Vestal, NY. Must have a Physical Therapy NY License.
Director of Rehabilitation Responsibilities :
- Scheduling of residents’ treatments
- Education and in-service training when needed
- Orientation, training and supervision of departmental personnel; assists with students assigned to the facility or educational programs
- Compiles and submits requisitions for supplies and equipment
- Collaborates with other members of the interdisciplinary team to integrate rehabilitation goals into the comprehensive care plan and discharge planning; attends when appropriate
- MDS completion for rehab items
- Leads departmental meetings and attends the following inter-departmental meetings when appropriate :
- Morning Report
- Quality Assurance Committee including completion of rehab dept. audits
- Safety Committee
- Fall Committee
- Care Planning
- In-service Education
- Staff Meeting for department heads
- Assists with skilled therapy evaluations / treatments as needed
Demonstrates the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
