We are seeking a high quality, engaging Therapy Director of Rehabilitation for Absolut Center, a Long and Short Term Care Nursing Facility located in Endicott, NY. Must have an Occupational or Physical Therapy NY License.
Director of Rehabilitation Responsibilities:
Director of Rehabilitation Responsibilities:
- Scheduling of residents’ treatments
- Education and in-service training when needed
- Orientation, training and supervision of departmental personnel; assists with students assigned to the facility or educational programs
- Compiles and submits requisitions for supplies and equipment
- Collaborates with other members of the interdisciplinary team to integrate rehabilitation goals into the comprehensive care plan and discharge planning; attends when appropriate
- MDS completion for rehab items
- Leads departmental meetings and attends the following inter-departmental meetings when appropriate:
- Morning Report
- Quality Assurance Committee including completion of rehab dept. audits
- Safety Committee
- Fall Committee
- Care Planning
- In-service Education
- Staff Meeting for department heads
- Assists with skilled therapy evaluations/treatments as needed
- Demonstrates the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Licensed Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist
- License to practice in New York State
- Must have interest in working with the elderly and respect the rights of residents during care and treatment services
- Displays genuine concern for the elderly and has a compassionate attitude
- Possession of ability to teach, inspire and motivate others; ability to organize workload, delegate assignments and promote teamwork required
- Experience in the geriatric field preferred
- Experience with Net Health Therapy software preferred
- MDS and PDPM knowledge preferred

Salary : $97,000 - $115,000
