Electrical Engineering Intern
Vestas - American Wind Technology has an immediate opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Intern to support the electrical aspects of Vestas wind turbine installation and maintenance. This position supports the Electrical Engineering department in performing electrical engineering assignments using troubleshooting, root cause analysis and electrical design with some latitude for action and problem-solving.
Responsibilities : General :
- A basic understanding of WTG product technology around electrical systems
- Possesses the ability to communicate with other engineers, field technicians and the Operations organization as a developing subject matter expert on electrical systems topics.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of region-specific technical documentation in support of electrical systems.
- Assist Electrical Engineers in root cause analysis as required to resolve electrical anomalies during turbine installation, commissioning and service.
- Assists in the development of cost-effective technical solutions for electrical systems issues.
- In cooperation with VAME Engineers, coordinates activities with corporate engineering Research & Development department located in Denmark.
- Assists with internal failure analysis in support of commercial considerations.
- Able to present an overview of internship projects and conclusions to the Engineering department.
