Certified Nursing Assistant Trainee (CNAT)
HOURLY RATE: $18.00/hr
Disclaimer: This position is for a training program to becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). ***Before the training program class starts you will start as a Resident Assistant (Hourly Rate: $15.00/hr.). Once a class is started and you have shown that you have the capabilities to perform the job duties successfully, you will transition to a CNA Trainee (Hourly Rate: $18.00/hr.).
You will be given a “TABE Test: Comprehension” (TABE: Test of Adult Basic Education). You will be given a half hour to complete this test. Once you have completed and passed the test, your interview will begin.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
A Certified Nursing Assistant, or Certified Nursing Aide, is responsible for supporting medical staff in administering care to patients with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. Their duties include helping patients bathe and maintain proper hygiene, feeding patients or ensuring they take their medication, and assessing their patients’ vital signs to notify staff of any changes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist residents with day-to-day tasks
- Work alongside our nurse educator and our nursing staff
- Assisting patients with mobility needs, transferring them from wheelchair to bed
- Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
- Preparing each resident’s room with necessary items like blankets, pillows, medical equipment, and bathroom needs
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- This is an entry-level opportunity. No prior experience is required due to the training program we would provide
- Must be willing to learn and apply new skills
- Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
- Strong customer service skills and compassion
- Once you have shown that you can perform the job duties successfully, you will be transitioned to our CNA Training Program as soon as the next class becomes available
