Summary this position is responsible for leading and supporting customer facing activities of Fused Silica Business Division within the region. The day-to-day objective is to carry out direct and indirect commercial activities, so as to maintain and grow the profitable sales of Foundry FS Business Division. These objectives will be achieved in accordance with the agreed to business plans and as requested by the Business Director. The overriding strategy will be to seek solutions for our customers that generate optimal value, for that customer, who will in turn willingly pay Foundry FS Business Division the commensurate financial reward.
As the region operates as a commercial entity of the Fused Silica Business Unit (including local logistics), the Regional Manager Americas has the responsibility to manage the P&L of his region.
Main responsibilities
- Develop sales, volume, margin and market share on the existing product range
- Identify and develop new markets and new applications
- Determine Sales strategy by markets / segments in relation with Director Sales & Marketing
- Manage a team of sales members / team (front & back office) & indirect sales (eg. agents)
- Ensure the professional development of the team
- Entertain a direct relationship with top key accounts
- Optimize resources : people, sales expenses, logistics costs
- Manage the budget of the region
- Actively contribute to business unit global projects (eg. Training programs etc.)
- Organize and maintain timely, relevant and reliable reporting on sales activity and performance
- Encourage, particularly through personal example, a culture of safety
- Manage cash collection
- Optimize local stock levels
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of activities and KPI’s
- Represent the company in professional associations
- Cooperate with Marking to organize Trade Shows
Travel impact : 60% in US / Canada plus some South America trips, overseas travel may be required
