The ideal candidate will have strong experience in process optimization, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing setting. This role requires a hands-on problem solver who can analyze, design, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies.
- Develop and implement process standardization to enhance productivity and reduce variability.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related issues.
- Support daily operations by troubleshooting process issues and providing technical guidance.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure efficient and reliable processes.
- Evaluate and implement new equipment, automation, and technologies to optimize production.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure processes align with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Work closely with the quality team to reduce defects, improve yield, and enhance product consistency.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with ISO, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Collect and analyze production data, KPIs, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Utilize statistical tools (e.g., SPC, DOE) to enhance process efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Present findings and recommendations to management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related field).
- 3-7 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with process automation, PLCs, and manufacturing technologies (a plus).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize production processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other engineering design software (a plus).
