The Quality Technician role at Vesuvius is a critical position that ensures the quality and reliability of our products. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for performing tests and inspections to verify that our products meet established standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of testing procedures and be able to analyze data to identify areas for improvement. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all quality tests and inspections, as well as collaborating with production teams to implement quality control measures during manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing tests at various stages of the production process to determine whether materials meet prescribed formulas and standards
- Drawing samples to be tested at specified stages in the production process
- Sets up and performs standardized tests to determine physical properties
- Determines conformity to prescribed formulas and standards, and documents deviations
This role requires a high school diploma and three to five years of related experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of Word and Excel is also required, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a general working environment with heat and noise exposure.
