What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant position at Vet Mobile?
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, be reliable, a perfectionist.
Duties:
- Prepare, clean, and sterilize surgical packs, surgical drapes and instruments.
- Administer medications to hospitalized animals as directed by the veterinarian
- Open medicine and supply boxes which arrive and sort and store them according to expiration dates in their proper location..
- Clean and stock the two Vet Mobile vehicles
- Other miscellaneous tasks as they come up.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is a plus
- Experience with pet sitting or equine care is beneficial
