Are you an expert in designing and optimizing complex network infrastructures? We are seeking a highly skilled Network Architect to lead the strategic design and implementation of a robust and scalable network for a greenfield manufacturing facility. This role encompasses hybrid cloud datacenter, LAN, WAN, 5G, Wireless, and OT connectivity, ensuring seamless, secure, and high-performance operations. As a hands-on leader, you will also step in as a Senior / Lead Network Engineer during operational phases, providing troubleshooting, support, and mentorship to the team.

What You'll Do :

Network Design and Architecture :

Develop and implement strategic network architecture plans to support current and future business needs.
Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of network infrastructure.

Infrastructure Planning :

Collaborate with IT leadership to align network infrastructure with organizational goals and future growth.

Operational Support :

Serve as the Senior / Lead Network Engineer during operational phases.

Provide advanced support for network issues, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.

Security Management :

Design and implement network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection / prevention systems.

Ensure compliance with industry security standards and best practices.

Network Optimization :

Continuously monitor and analyze network performance.

Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance speed, reliability, and security.

Project Leadership :

Lead network-related projects from initial design to full implementation.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage resources to ensure successful outcomes.

Mentorship and Training :

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers.

Foster skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.

Documentation & Vendor Management :

Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture, configurations, and processes.

Work with vendors and service providers to evaluate new technologies and solutions.

Requirements

Qualifications :

Must have served in U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves, or U.S. National Guard.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

7 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a network architect or senior engineering role.

Proven experience designing and managing large-scale, complex network environments.

Expertise in network protocols, routing, switching, and security technologies.

Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise-level networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, HP Aruba, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet).

Experience with network monitoring and management tools.

Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).

Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent highly preferred.

Security certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
