Here's What You'll Do
- Champion Safety and Efficiency: Foster a culture where safety is paramount, and operational excellence is the standard.
- Analyze and Optimize: Dive deep into kiln performance data to uncover trends, identify potential issues, and implement strategies that boost overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and efficiency.
- Lead Investigations: When equipment hiccups occur, you'll conduct thorough root cause analyses and develop corrective and preventive actions to keep operations on track.
- Implement Lean Principles: Utilize tools like 6S, 5Why/Cause Mapping, and Process Mapping to drive continuous improvement in kiln operations.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work hand-in-hand with manufacturing, procurement, and sales departments to ensure seamless operations and product delivery.
- Manage Projects: Oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring they're delivered on time, within budget, and meet all safety and performance criteria.
- Mentor and Lead: Guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering a team environment that values growth, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Must have served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves, or U.S. National Guard.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting utilizing lean principles.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of rotary kiln technology and mechanical systems.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and reliability software tools, including Minitab, PowerBI, Excel, and Osisoft PI Vision.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a knack for leadership and team collaboration
