Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit claims for compensation, pension, health benefits, education, loans, vocational training, and other benefits.
- Interview veterans and their dependents to gather information.
- Assist with completing necessary forms.
- Consult with relevant parties and maintain liaison with organizations.
- Deliver presentations to raise public awareness of benefits.
- Stay connected with clients throughout the claims process.
- Nationally Accredited Veteran Service Officer preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience in federal veterans benefits services.
- Accreditation through a recognized Veteran Service Organization.
- Valid driver's license with current vehicle insurance.
- Excellent communication, organization, and public speaking skills.
- Knowledge of available community resources.
