Job Summary:
The Boarding Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the boarding department, ensuring pets receive exceptional care and that team members work cohesively to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. This leadership role focuses on staff management, workflow efficiency, collaboration with other departments, and client satisfaction. The Boarding Supervisor acts as a key liaison between the GP Manager, team members, and clients, fostering a positive culture and upholding Veterinary Healthcare Associates' high standards.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in pet handling or related fields (boarding, grooming, veterinary).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills (familiarity with pet care management software is a plus).
- Excellent personal hygiene and professional appearance.
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to:
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Leash-walk up to a 100 lbs. dog with pulling.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance duties, including scrubbing kennels and floors.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- High attention to detail, particularly with animal care and medical record documentation.
- A genuine compassion for pets and a commitment to their wellbeing.
