As a Housekeeper with Veterinary Healthcare Associates (VHA), your primary responsibility is to support the hospital, and team in the attainment of its mission. The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness and servicing of the exam rooms, clinic areas, care, maintaining a clean work area, and cleaning VHA’s campus resident housing. The Housekeeper applies safety procedures and precautions as appropriate in clinical settings and with material handling and disposal. Works collectively within the department to ensure that the facility is clean and safe for visitors, patients, and staff.
MAJOR DUTIES
- Performs routine cleaning of the exam rooms.
- Performs routine cleaning of the waiting room and lobby areas including areas of hospitality.
- Performs routine cleaning of the restrooms and common areas for team members and clients.
- Maintains laundry room and linen cleaning.
- Safely utilize cleaning chemicals and supplies according to specified guidelines.
- Transport trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal areas.
- Perform routine sweeping and floor cleaning where appropriate.
- Utilize equipment safely and report equipment malfunction or defect quickly.
- Perform periodic cleaning projects such as wall washing, window washing, vents, blinds, etc.
- Clean up unexpected accidents, spills, blood, etc.
- Experience working with cleaning equipment, such as a floor steam cleaner, etc.
- General housekeeping of VHA’s campus resident housing.
- Other duties as assigned.
