Veterinary Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine of Virginia is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, hard working individual to join our Richmond team. We provide a number of services, products and guidance to best service the animals within our community. This position is a crucial part of the team that provides a high level of customer service with each client they interact with. We believe each client becomes a part of the VRSVA family and want to make sure all clients and patients are treated with a high level of compassion, kindness and support.
Duties include:
- Keep the front desk/waiting room at the Richmond location clean and visually appealing
- Answer phone calls and emails within 24 hours during business days
- Assist current and new clients with scheduling and answering questions to the best of their ability
- Consult with a care provider when client reaches out for information specific to their animals care
- Maintain updated records for current and new patients
- Ensure each patient being seen has an updated new patient form
- Scan and upload all records, forms, ect., into Neo in the appropriate patient file
- Collaborate with care providers and assistants to ensure proper scheduling
- Provide a high level of customer services and professionalism to all clients and potential clients
- Ensure patients are checked in, checked out, scheduled out and charged appropriately based on therapies received
- Provide regular feedback to team members to improve processes and procedures
- Follow up with clients who are not on the schedule
- Follow up with clients who have not paid their invoices
- Provide regular updates to referring veterinarians for mutual clients
- Process transactions through pet insurance companies
- Assist in keeping track of inventory of products and hand outs on products
Requirements:
- Can lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Canine and/or feline baseline behavior and medical knowledge is preferred
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Work well independently and as a part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
