Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment such as motors, conveyor systems, and injection molding machines and equipment by performing the following duties.
Safety And Environmental

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Observes equipment in operation and evaluates potential problems for future repairs.
Dismantles equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Adjusts function parts of equipment and control instruments.
Repairs or replaces defective parts.
Installs special functional and structural parts in equipment.
Lubricates and cleans parts.
Starts equipment to test their performance.
Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to repair or make spare parts.
Repairs electrical equipment.
Dismantle hydraulic cylinders valves and components and rebuild by replacing worn parts. Locate and repair hydraulic leaks.
Replace motors, repair and troubleshoot motor controls.
Trouble-shoot and repair electric motors.
Replace conveyor belts by removing and disassembling conveyors.
Develop cost savings ideas.
Install and set up molding machinery.
Must be able to work mandatory overtime. The regular schedule for this position exceeds 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
